10. Mandatory Reading, Anti-Depressants, and Ageist Failtards
Recorded on March 18, 2008.
A number of things to get to on this one!
First, Karl tries to take the lazy way out of his quarterly English class book/author project by trying to convince his teacher to let him do his project on Motley Crue's "The Dirt," instead. Why? Because fuck you, thats why! Karl had read enough books over the years, why should he be forced to read more when he can just do the report on something he already read?
Secondly, after over a year of his school therapist, Mary Anne, trying to do so, she finally convinces Karl to try some anti-depressants. Karl was hesistant for good reason, but fuck it. With his recent depressive spell brought on by hearing about what two dickheads did that made him jealous, what did he have to lose? But how well will that go over with his Mom?
And last and least, Karl turns into a wannabe activist and fights for the right of lowerclassmen to buy tickets to the annual Senior vs. Faculty basketball game when they first go on sale, instead of having to wait an extra day.
Songs Played:
Motley Crue - "Save Our Souls"
Motley Crue - "City Boy Blues"
