Containment still holding at 91-percent, with the fire boundaries now mapped to just over 59-thousand acres.
The National Forest Service says Burned Area Emergency Response teams are working to determine the need for so-called Emergency Stabilization Treatments to prevent further damage to life, property or natural resources.
The fire first ignited three weeks ago...when a car went over the side of the Kern River Canyon, killing the driver.
