Elisha told the messenger that the king sent (to kill him) that on the morrow prices would return to normal and everyone in Samaria would eat. Because the man disbelieved he was condemned to die only seeing the miracle without partaking of it. And that night lepers plotted to surrender themselves to Samaria in hopes they would be spared. But God made the Syrians to hear an army and they fled leaving all their possessions behind in panic. The lepers then told Samaria who entered the enemy camp collected the plunder and were thus saved.
