One of the careers I briefly flirted with was that of an Air Traffic Controller. I've always been fascinated by airplanes, airports are one of my favourite places and I thought to be part of that as a controller would be really cool.

So imagine my excitement when a ride up the ski hill on the chair lift had me sitting with a recently retired air traffic controller!

Our conversation was much too short for my liking but I did have the opportunity to ask a few quick questions. And the answer to one of my questions got me thinking...
