mostra másTodd Norian, E-RYT 500, seeks to awaken others to their inherent potential for healing and joy by integrating the body, mind, and heart through yoga and meditation. Believing that yoga is a gateway for self-discovery and spiritual growth, Todd founded Ashaya Yoga in 2012 to guide his students through an alignment-based, heart-opening practice that builds strength and flexibility while giving them access to the universe of power within. A student of yoga since 1980, Todd brings advanced biomechanical knowledge, Shaiva Tantra philosophical teachings, and an unapologetic sense of humor to his international workshops and trainings. As a classically trained Jazz musician, Todd created several music albums for yoga and relaxation, including Bija: Soothing Music and Mantras for Yoga and Meditation. Tantra Yoga: Journey to Unbreakable Wholeness explores Todd’s journey.
By steadfastly following his heart, Todd has lived an uncommon life: living like a monk for 13 years at the then-ashram Kripalu in Massachusetts; having an intense spiritual awakening that landed him for a brief stay at a psychiatric hospital; and overcoming the heartbreak of being spiritually betrayed by beloved teachers — not once, but twice.
Now, writing with gentle, compassionate authority, he is sharing the life-changing philosophy that taught him how to embrace all of it — the pain, disillusionment, and suffering — as the gift it was always meant to be.
