In the early morning hours of February 24th, 1942, US Army Air Force gun batteries stationed on the beaches near Los Angeles, CA, engaged in a firefight against an unidentified flying object. The military tried to deny the incident and then stated it was a mistake. Whatever actually happened, one thing is clear, it remains one of the greatest mysteries in military history.
