When a patient presents to you and you’re concerned about the diagnosis of optic neuritis, it can sometimes feel a bit tricky. On the one hand, the patient’s vision can be quite poor and the systemic implications of such a diagnosis can be quite significant; on the other hand, the teaching for some time has not been so definitive on what, if anything, we should do in the short-term.
