After leaving MIT to pursue a technology start-up, he experienced a horrific dark night of the soul, starting with severe repetitive stress injuries that left him in constant pain and unable to work. Then, he was betrayed by his life-long best friend and business partner who stole the multi-million dollar company founded on the technology Brent developed in graduate school at MIT.
