What are normal poops? IBS isn't just BLOATING it is also the other end of the spectrum. We need to know the root causes of IBS because often it is just another "garbage diagnosis"
Calling it "IBS" tells us that there's something going on but doesn't say what is functionally wrong with us. IBS is called a "functional" gastrointestinal disorder but it is not one size fits all, everybody's causes and therefore treatment will be different.
We wish it were simple but part of what Naturopaths do is listen for the "whispers" that tells us what is going on in the gut. This episode definitely goes into some depth as to what IBS actually is, and gives some great examples of people living with and trying to solve IBS. Including our very own Dr. Michelle.
