- Don’t reach for carbohydrates reach for protein.
- Set a timer for 10 to 20 minutes and lay down with your eyes closed. Nap or no nap you feel refreshed
- Try one minute of meditation
- Try two minutes in a “power pose”
- Ask yourself “what is the purpose of me doing this?” to be sure it’s worth it.
- Allow yourself these escapes when they are scheduled ahead. Set boundaries like “no social media before noon”
- Wasting just 10 minutes day on something unintended is the equivalent of wasting 52 hours or an entire work week each year
