Tonight we speak with a fellow group running member about what motivated her to run her first marathon as a virtual Boston marathon. Paula Murnaghan wanted to run a marathon by the time she was 40 and a plan happened but her marathon of choice was cancelled via Covid. Then the option for the virtual Boston Marathon occurred and Paula jumped at the chance. She started a trend because a lot of our group followed her and signed up as well. She started training and had a pretty serious injury occur and that sidelined her for several weeks. Paula was given the green light with about 6 weeks left until the marathon date and that's when Paula got to work. She trained hard and started doing bigger mileage very quickly. She didn't have time to waste and before you knew it race day was very close. Then we find out about our local circuit breaker that could have stopped Paula as well but not a chance. Paula wouldn't give up and you can hear her inspiring story as she takes us through the process. You just can't keep a determined individual down.
