Our Scripture texts for today's message are Jer 4.1-4 and John 8.1-11 from the thought, "A Fresh Start."

Rejoice! It's Spring! Today is a good day for a fresh start.

1. If we are going to have" a fresh start" we must be aware of accommodating alliances and assemblies. vv1-6... ACCUSERS’ PERSPECTIVE
The woman was caught in the act, and the group was on a "witch hunt" to catch Jesus. They used the GROUP THINK MENTALITY. They accused the woman; she was their PAWN. They never accused the man. How many went along to get along? Are WE guilty of being in accommodating alliances and assemblies?

2. If we are going to have a fresh start, we must ACKNOWLEDGE then answer. Respond rather than react! VV 7-9… ARBITRATOR’S PERSPECTIVE
Responses should be Holy Spirit Inspired! Sometimes our responses will take time. Most times Holy Spirit inspired responses will differ from the group's mob mentality! Slow down to hear the wisdom of God.

3. If we are going to have a fresh start, we must assume ACCOUNTABILITY and begin ANEW VV10-11… ACCUSED’ PERSPECTIVE
Today is the first day of the rest of our lives! We have NOW, the power of NOW! The LORD is a forgiving God and wants us to start fresh right NOW, this SPRING! So, let us break up our fallowed ground, it's SPRING. Get the weeds out of your life. What things are sucking the life out of your life? Don't go along to get along when it doesn't align with the WORD of God!

Be aware of accommodating alliances and assemblies, don't just go with the crowd. Commit to acknowledge and then respond rather than react. Commit to assume accountability and begin ANEW. Accept our wrongdoings and shortcomings, accept God's forgiveness. Break up the fallowed ground and live a disciplined life in JESUS CHRIST!
