Story Transcript:

El: Ο ήλιος σηκώνεται πάνω από τους λόφους της υπαίθρου των Δελφών, ρίχνοντας ένα ζεστό φως πάνω στις ελιές και τα αρχαία ερείπια.
En: The sun rises over the hills of the Delphi countryside, casting a warm light over the olive trees and ancient ruins.

El: Η Ελένη στέκεται στην άκρη του χωριού, κοιτάζοντας τον ορίζοντα.
En: Helen stands at the edge of the village, gazing at the horizon.

El: Το βλέμμα της είναι γεμάτο με προσμονή.
En: Her eyes are filled with anticipation.

El: Δίπλα της, ο Νίκος αναστενάζει.
En: Next to her, Nikos sighs.

El: «Ελένη, δεν είμαι σίγουρος γι' αυτό», λέει με δισταγμό, κοιτώντας πίσω στο σπίτι που έμειναν.
En: "Helen, I'm not sure about this," he says hesitantly, looking back at the house they stayed in.

El: «Γιατί να πάμε;
En: "Why should we go?

El: Οι τουρίστες θα είναι παντού.
En: Tourists will be everywhere."

El: »Αλλά η Ελένη δεν χάνει τον ενθουσιασμό της.
En: But Helen doesn't lose her enthusiasm.

El: «Νίκο, η ζωή εδώ είναι ήρεμη, αλλά ο Ναός του Απόλλωνα είναι κάτι μοναδικό.
En: "Nikos, life here is peaceful, but the Temple of Apollo is something unique.

El: Είναι ευκαιρία να νιώσουμε την ιστορία μας, να εμπνευστούμε.
En: It's a chance to feel our history, to be inspired."

El: »Ο Νίκος κουνάει το κεφάλι.
En: Nikos shakes his head.

El: «Δεν χρειαζόμαστε όλα αυτά τα πράγματα για να είμαστε ευτυχισμένοι.
En: "We don't need all these things to be happy.

El: Εδώ έχουμε όλα όσα χρειαζόμαστε.
En: We have everything we need here."

El: »Η Ελένη του χαμογελάει με κατανόηση.
En: Helen smiles at him understandingly.

El: «Δεν είναι μόνο για εμάς.
En: "It's not just for us.

El: Είναι για να δούμε τι περισσότερο έχει να μας δείξει ο κόσμος.
En: It's to see what more the world has to show us.

El: Ζωγραφίζω και αυτό το ταξίδι θα με γεμίσει με ιδέες.
En: I paint, and this trip will fill me with ideas.

El: Επίσης, είναι κάτι που μπορούμε να κάνουμε μαζί, αγαπητέ φίλε.
En: Also, it's something we can do together, dear friend."

El: »Μετά από λίγο δισταγμό, ο Νίκος συμφωνεί.
En: After a moment of hesitation, Nikos agrees.

El: «Εντάξει, θα πάμε.
En: "Alright, we'll go.

El: Αλλά μόνο για σένα.
En: But only for you."

El: »Ξεκινάνε το ταξίδι τους μέσα από την ύπαιθρο, οι λόφοι ανοιγοκλείνουν μπροστά τους σαν σελίδες από παλιά βιβλία.
En: They set off on their journey through the countryside, the hills unfolding before them like pages from old books.

El: Καθώς πλησιάζουν τον Ναό του Απόλλωνα, η ζέστη της καλοκαιρινής ημέρας γίνεται πιο έντονη.
En: As they approach the Temple of Apollo, the summer day's heat becomes more intense.

El: Η Ελένη νιώθει την καρδιά της να χτυπάει γρηγορότερα καθώς φτάνουν.
En: Helen's heart beats faster as they arrive.

El: Ο Ναός, αν και ερείπιος, είναι μεγαλοπρεπής.
En: The Temple, though in ruins, is majestic.

En: "Just a few stones."

El: »Η Ελένη κλείνει τα μάτια της, εισπνέει βαθιά και προσπαθεί να δει πέρα από το προφανές.
En: Helen closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and tries to see beyond the obvious.

El: Και τότε, συμβαίνει.
En: And then, it happens.

El: Ο ήλιος αρχίζει να δύει και οι ακτίνες του φτιάχνουν ένα φως που ντύνει τον Ναό με χρυσές αποχρώσεις.
En: The sun begins to set, and its rays create a light that dresses the Temple in golden hues.

El: Ο Νίκος κοιτάζει με μισή καρδιά.
En: Nikos looks with half interest.

El: Όμως, η αλλαγή στο τοπίο είναι εκπληκτική.
En: However, the transformation of the landscape is stunning.

El: Αυτό τον αλλάζει.
En: It changes him.

El: «Κοίτα!
En: "Look!"

El: » λέει η Ελένη, δείχνοντάς του το μαγικό θέαμα.
En: Helen says, pointing out the magical sight.

El: Το φως αγκαλιάζει τα ερείπια, κάνοντάς το όλο σκηνικό παραμυθένιο.
