However, while in Mexico Shanquella was murdered according to authorties in Mexico. Now, her family is demanding justice and demanding that her killer or killers be extradited to Mexico to face justice.
As usual though, the gears of the justice system grind slowly and the process for extraditing an American citizens is not as cut and dry as it should be in circumstances such as this.
