Kirk was a vibrant, lovable two-year-old boy who had his whole life ahead of him. But when he passed away at the hands of his babysitter, life changed for the family. After finding out the babysitter had a previous conviction of child abuse, they discovered there was no child abuse registry to research. Anissa’s mother, Angie, tenaciously pursued the state government to enact a statewide registry to make sure Kirk’s death was not in vain.
