Dan Casey was born and raised outside of Boston, and graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Japanese history. Now he lives in Los Angeles, where he is the creative director for Nerdist. He has written, produced, and hosted hundreds of hours of online video content, including a weekly pop culture deep dive, celebrity interviews, sketch comedy, branded content and much more for Nerdist and other clients. As a live events host, he has brought his irreverent and insightful style to projects with Cartoon Network, IFC, Ellation, Oculus, ArenaNet, GameChangers, and many more.

He is the author of books about Star Wars and Marvel’s Avengers. His work has also appeared on Omaze, Wired, StarWars.com, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, KTLA, ABC News Radio, Screen Junkies, FOX News' Tech Take, and more. His work was also reposted on WorldStarHipHop one time and the comments are certainly something. Last, but not least, he has no sense of smell. He is still waiting on his handicapped parking sticker, to no avail.
