The Tigers understand that they need to work and play with intent and efficiency in order to come out with a win. He’s got confidence in the younger guys on defense to play at the necessary level. But in some unfortunate news, Duce Chesnut, Denver Harris, Zy Alexander are not available, and Mekhi Wingo is out for the season after undergoing surgery. The defense will rely on the rotation they used in the game against Army.

LSU women’s basketball took another step towards a new year last night with a 99-26 exhibition win over East Texas Baptist. The Sa'Myah Smith hype continued to build with the forward posting a double-double. Flau'Jae Johnson led LSU with 18 points as she was one of six Tigers to score in the double-digits. Mulkey said scoring isn’t the problem, but the fundamentals have to improve. Johnson and Kateri Poole tied for the team lead in assists, each with three. LSU will be back in action with one final exhibition on Nov. 1.

The LSU men's basketball team will bring both together in one spot Monday night when the Tigers host Louisiana Christian, an NAIA member, in an exhibition game. LSU's final dress rehearsal for its Nov. 6 season opener with Mississippi Valley State tips off at 7 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The No.10 seed LSU Soccer team (8-7-4, 3-5-2 SEC) fell in the first round of the 2023 SEC Tournament on penalty kicks to No. 7 Kentucky (9-3-6, 3-3-4 SEC) by a margin of 4-2 on Sunday afternoon inside Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex. Mollee Swift finished with five saves. Head Coach Sian Hudson said, “I was proud of the team’s fight to the death and we will prepare in the hopes we get a bid into the NCAA tournament next week.” Ava Galligan made All-SEC Second Team and All-Freshman team. Galligan currently leads the team in assists and points with five assists and 11 points throughout the regular season. Her five assists on the year also place her amongst the top-10 players in the league.

The Tigers recorded a season-high .326 hitting percentage on 39 kills and totaled 10 aces, marking the third time this season LSU has logged double-digit aces. On the defensive end, the Fighting Tigers held the Gamecocks to a .092 attacking percentage thanks to seven blocks and 30 digs. LSU has held opponents under a .100 hitting percentage four times this season. Outside hitter Jurnee Robinson had a match-high 10 kills and finished with three blocks, two aces and six digs. Right side Ellie Echter registered career-highs of nine kills and a .692 hitting percentage on 13 errorless swings. She also contributed two blocks. Middle blocker Alexis Roberson also had career-highs of nine kills and a .375 hitting percentage and added a match-best five blocks, including one solo block. Outside hitter Paige Flickinger matched a career-high with five aces and landed six kills with a match-high eight digs.LSU opens the final month of the regular season at Ole Miss at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center in Oxford, Miss.

TIGER TEA! Leonard Fournette is signing with the Buffalo Bills pending a physical. He was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a cap-clearing move. Damien Harris is on IR with a neck injury, so Fournette will join Latavius Murray and James Cook in the backfield. He will now get another shot at a superbowl after winning one with Tom Brady.
