Long's fifth victim, Vicky Elliott, was 21 years old and went missing on September 7, 1984, while returning home from her waitressing job at the Ramada Inn. Her body was not discovered until November 16, 1984, and she had also been strangled.
Chanel Williams, an 18-year-old sex worker, was discovered on October 7th. Unlike the previous victims, Williams stood out as the only black victim who had not been bound. Her cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound. Williams was found naked, with her clothes lying nearby. Upon examining her clothing, forensic tests revealed the presence of those distinct red fibers.
