Shirley McKie was a Detective Constable with Strathclyde Police who was suspended from duty and charged with perjury following findings in the case of Marion Ross, covered in Episode 111.
Pat talks of his backround with fingerprint analysis and goes into detail of how his testimony was key to Shirley McKie's defence.

I absolutely love this podcast. Like I mentioned in an earlier post I came for the accents (I could listen to a Scottish woman, read the dictionary) and the content and I stayed for the personalities. And yes ladies you have personality. I work 12 hours a day and I listen to podcasts to keep my brain occupied but I’ve never found a podcast that when I finally finished all of the back episodes, I was upset that there wasn’t more to listen to, so yesterday when I was switching podcast platforms and I was adding this podcast to my list and saw that there was a bonus episode. I found myself really excited. This podcast has a little bit of everything the chat at the beginning then there’s a scripted crime story and the hosts take turns on who gets to tell the story but unlike other podcasts I’ve listened to that are scripted to the point that even the gasp/reaction is scripted, then the fun facts at the end, and the interaction between Joanna and Emily is entertaining and genuine. Visiting Scotland is on my list of places I would love to go and if I ever find myself there, I would love to buy you ladies and your husbands a pint, thank you very much.
