In this episode we continue studying the Book of Genesis. In this episode God rests from all his labor. We note that he also commands us to take a day of rest.

This seems strange and out of place in modern culture as people subscribe to the “Grind” mentality. Resting is for fools or lazy people they say. I’ll sleep when I’m dead they say. Yet, this mentality comes from the god of this world.

Jesus revealed the command to rest was given to us for our own good. Working seven days a week, 12 hours a day is not good for our physical and mental health issues.

In this episode we note that God made man from the clay of the ground and breathed into his nostrils and gave him life. He also created a woman as his help meet. She would help him subdue the earth and exercise dominion over it. She would rule and reign along side him.

The man was made directly from the clay of the ground but the woman was taken from the side of the man. This is important because of what Paul said in the following text:

1Corinthians 11:7  For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

When you see men being attacked and torn asunder, Satan is attacking the image of God .
Whenever you see Satan exalting woman, over man in a way that places him under her feet this is his way of exalting what proceeds from mankind.

Satan did not seek to beguile the man but sought to beguile the woman who is an extension of man’s glory.

Strongs says, glory means, glorious condition, mans most exalted state, excellence, dignity, and grace.

We will see in the next chapter that the serpent, attacked the woman so he could attack man’s glory, that is his dignity and exalted position over seen and unseen pagan powers.

If he succeeds in his attack against man and God's image, he succeeds in attacking children and the future is bleak.

Proverbs 17:6  says, "Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers."

If the father falls, the children have no glory, they have no covering. The children are left out in the wilderness and are food for the wolves among us.

It is God's will for the people he created on earth to subdue and exercise dominion over everything that creeps on the earth, seen and unseen.

God said the man would leave father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall be one flesh.

Cleave means to stick close, to stick together. When man and woman stick together and refuse to be divided asunder by the serpents seed, there will be peace on earth.
