In this episode we continue studying the book of Leviticus. In this episode laws about male bodily discharges were given, in addition to more laws regarding a woman’s issue.

There were different types of discharges that were unclean. One involved being unclean by a running issue and this type of issue made everything the man touched or sat on unclean and required a sacrifice.

Then there was the issue that came from copulation with a woman. They were told to bathe afterward and were unclean til even.

Strongs says copulation means a lying down of dew, or for the sexual act, carnally, to lay seed.

Strongs says seed means fruit, plant, sowing time, posterity, child, fruitful, seed time.

Sow means figuratively to disseminate, plant, fructify, bear, conceive seed, yield.

So after laying or disseminating seed a man was unclean and so was the woman.

We asked if God told the man and the woman to be fruitful and multiply, why would sowing seed be unclean?

The answer is they were told to be fruitful and multiply before they sinned. So the act of sowing seed wasn’t unclean until the man and woman sinned and became unclean.

Here’s what God told Adam and Eve in the beginning.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Adam and Eve were made in God’s image, then they were told to be fruitful and multiply. They were supposed to fill the earth with children or people made in the image of God. People who were sinless.

When they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the fruit from the woman’s womb, the man and woman's produce, their children, would not be pure or sinless.Their fruit was defiled it was now mixed with good and evil.

Because they heeded or yielded to the serpents voice, they were not only God’s children, but now a part of them belonged to the evil one, their children would do good and evil.

Life came from God but death came from sin and the one who had the power of death. His name was Satan.

Paul reminds us to be careful who or what we yield ourselves to in the following text.

Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

God would send his son from heaven to earth to deliver the man and the woman’s seed from their mixed or intermingled state.

By a divine miracle, one of Eve’s daughters, a virgin named Mary would have a son named Jesus but it would be without the seed of man.

He would be born by the power of the Holy Spirit. We don’t know how it worked but, Solomon said, in Ecclesiastes, chapter 11 verse 5 , “We don’t know the way of the Spirit, nor how the bones grow in the womb of a woman with child, even so we don’t know the works of God who makes all.”

An angel named Gabriel would tell Mary, her son’s name would be Jesus and He would be called the Son of God.

He also told Mary she was highly favored of the Lord and that the Lord was with her, that she was blessed above all the women on earth.

Mary was chosen to bring into the earth a member of the godhead, that lived in heaven.

He would come to earth and be clothed in flesh for 33 years to save the souls of men, from their fatal decision.

By grace they would be saved and delivered from the flood of death that overtook them when they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

They would be given a second chance to inherit eternal life. If they believed the truth, that God sent his Son to earth to deliver them from their sins, they would live and not die, the second time but will live forever.

We note that God told them He gave them the laws so they wouldn’t die when they went into the tabernacle.

He knew when or if they were unclean in their secret parts, so they should take His advice and take necessary precautions to avoid being slain for going into the tabernacle unclean.

Other people may not know they were unclean but he knew. God wanted the people to take responsibility for their uncleanness.

This would prepare them for that all important day. When Jesus would die for their sins and God would take up residence in the bodies of his people.

They would be his tabernacle. He said, he would dwell in them and walk in them.

Where they go he would go, what they saw he would see. If he was going to be living in them they needed to be clean. Lest they die in their sins.

So Paul says, in 2 Corinthians chapter 6 verses 14 through 18.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2 Corinthians 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
