In this episode we continue studying the book of Revelation. In this chapter we learn about the woman that sits on the beast. This woman is called the great whore because she gets the nations to commit fornication. Fornication in this context refers to serving other gods. We learn that the woman is wearing a garment made of purple and scarlet and she’s decked out with gold, precious stones and pearls.

Her garment appears to be made of materials similar to the materials that composed the ephod and the breastplate worn by the priest in Exodus chapter 28 verse 15.

God instructed Moses to make garments for the high priest, garments made of gold, purple, scarlet, and blue threads with precious stones like topaz, emeralds and diamonds. Only one difference, her garment doesn’t have the color blue. Blue is said to represent the sky, representing the heavenly abode of Christ.

There is no blue in her garment, because she can’t claim her religion is from above because it’s from below, it’s from the earth, it represents the false devilish religion that originates from the earth, its earthly sensual and devilish, it proceeds from the bottomless pit.

Scripture reveals that the woman sitting on the beast is that Great City Babylon. However, God at some point will cause the beast to hate the woman and the beast will destroy her, proving to All people, that God rules in the affairs of men. The very thing the angel said to Nebuchadnezzar before he was given the mind of animal because his heart was lifted up in pride, declaring "Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty."

David said God made man a little lower than angels and has crowned him with glory and honor.

Nebuchadnezzar was stripped of his honor and glory and deprived of the ability to think and reason like a man created in the image of God.

Instead of thinking and acting like a man, he thought and acted like an animal, proving Christ’s point that without Him we can do nothing, and that includes the capacity to think, reason, and act like a human being made in the image of God.

Unfortunately, some will be given the mind of a beastly animal because of their relationship with the Great Babylon.

In Romans chapter 8 verse 29 ,Paul says, we have been predestinated to be conformed to the image of God’s son, then in Romans chapter 12 verse 2 he said, be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

In these days, we have two choices be conformed to this world and have our minds transformed into one that makes us behave like savage, ferocious, beastly beings or have our minds renewed by the word of God by which we love and respect each other, behaving like civilized beings that love truth because we have the mind of Christ.
