On the surface, this movie seems like a classic good vs evil that puts the hero (and by extension the audience rooting for him) firmly on the side of good. But there is subtler, and much deeper message to this film.
Satanic rituals, portals to hell, witchcraft, voodoo, angels, demons, and even cats! Constantine is chock full of occult symbolism, freemasonic/gnostic imagery, and conspiracy topics galore!
