Counsel and Judgment rain down on Judah. However, in these troubles we find both the counsel and the judgment skewed so much that the first verse of Isaiah 30 says that there is Woe to these Rebellious for what they pursue. This brings us to Pt70 of Isaiah's Prophetic Book. As we travel this path along with Isaiah; there are many aspects that modern American can learn from. Applying biblical principles to the current generation is direct and certain. No escaping how both Counsel, Judgment; no to forget actions all trigger troubles for Israel. This brings us to modern America and the nations; they too will suffer and have suffered for their Counsel and Judgment. One day it will fall upon the nations in the wrath of God tribulation. A judgment here that comes amidst a world that rejects God's grace and redemption through Yeshua HaMassiach, Jesus Christ.

Counsel and Judgment comes into the real world today as we follow Judah amidst a calamity that came upon them. Their counsel from those around the king of Judah came from the religious to the political spectrums in Judah. The advice they received guided them in their final Judgment what to do. This verdict or decision is what leads the Prophet Isaiah to declare Woe to the rebellious children. They took counsel but not of the Lord. Those in Judah made decisions to get Egypt to help and refused counsel of the Lord. Thus, the LORD said of them "that take counsel, but not of me! Jeremiah later would write as he also dealt with a stubborn Judah "Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD" Jeremiah 17:5. The opposite of that Jeremiah says in verse 7 "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is."
