mostra másNDP Leader Jagmeet Singh holds a news conference on Parliament Hill to discuss his party’s opposition day motion. The NDP is urging the federal government to expand its excess profits tax proposal to include oil and gas companies and big box stores. During the 2021 federal election campaign, Liberals had proposed to raise the corporate income tax rate on big banks and insurance companies by 3 per cent on earnings above $1 billion.
