The Chicago Police Department has a murderous history. December 4, 1969 Black Panther Party Illinois Chairman Fred Hampton was assassinated by the Chicago PD and the FBI.

Three Chicago Police officers are on trial for conspiring to protect killer cop Jason Van Dyke, who was convicted in October of murder for shooting 17-year-old Laquan McDonald 16 times in 2014.
