Peter Schiff has apparently lost all his bitcoin forever. Schiff, a long-time gold bug and frequent detractor of Bitcoin, has frequently opined that "Bitcoin has no intrinsic value."

Many Bitcoin faithful have nontheless reportedly sent him portions of bitcoin over the years, encouraging him to take a different point of view.

Many reports in the news discuss this unfortunate circumstance for Schiff, and there's lots of negative AND sympathetic commentary.

Eric Vorhees of Shapeshift, as well as Anthony Pompliano of Morgan Creek Capitol have reached out in attempts to help Schiff retain his bitcoin, but it looks for now that he'll never get access back to his bitcoin. Also, Vitalek Buterin has commented, acknowledging the difficulty involved with private keys.
