Our guest this week is Randy Lewis of South Barrington, IL a former EVP at Walgreens and the father of three including middle child & son, Austin, who has Autism.

Randy's life was transformed by Austin's Autism. And it would lead Randy, to then transform the lives of thousands of other "differently-abled" Americans.

While at Walgreens Randy was in charge of the 20+ Walgreens distribution centers with more than 10,000 employees and a $1B P&L. In 2006 Randy lead the creation of a state of the art distribution center in Anderson, SC where 200 of the 600 employees had known disabilities. It was breaking news around the U.S. and the world to hire so many people with disabilities in one location and to pay then competitive wages with full benefits.

It's an incredible story and part of our SFN Dad To Dad Podcast series.

Special Fathers Network -
SFN is a dad to dad mentoring program for fathers raising children with special needs. Many of the 500+ SFN Mentor Fathers, who are raising kids with special needs, have said: "I wish there was something like this when we first received our child's diagnosis. I felt so isolated. There was no one within my family, at work, at church or within my friend group who understood or could relate to what I was going through."

SFN Mentor Fathers share their experiences with younger dads closer to the beginning of their journey raising a child with the same or similar special needs. The SFN Mentor Fathers do NOT offer legal or medical advice, that is what lawyers and doctors do. They simply share their experiences and how they have made the most of challenging situations.
