A Right Fool
This quote reminds me of a similar one: even a broken clock is right twice a day. So it is with those who are fools, so steeped in their foolishness, that they have no clue or understanding of how foolish they are. That said, even someone who continually makes unwise choices, which is the definition of a fool, is bound to be right by chance occasionally. I realize that we all make unwise or foolish decisions from time to time, but the Bible warns us not to remain unwise but to learn and grow in wisdom. The problem with most who are foolish is that they don’t even realize they are. A fool deludes themselves into thinking that their foolish decisions are wise. Let us know and understand ourselves well enough to realize when we need to obtain more wisdom, not be too proud to ask others for help and pursue whatever learning is required to be wise. An excellent place to start our journey to wisdom is to continually read and study the book of Proverbs in the Bible. It is an easy habit to establish, but few people do so. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs, one for each day of the month. I would encourage you to start reading the chapter that corresponds to the day of the month each day. Repeat this habit each month, and you will be amazed at the wisdom you will obtain. I have been practicing this habit for forty years, and it has been radically life-changing for me. Here are three verses of many in the book of Proverbs that will help you to understand.

Wise people think before they act; fools don’t—and even brag about their foolishness.

Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

You cannot separate fools from their foolishness, even though you grind them like grain with mortar and pestle.
