When chronic pain is complicated by factors such as poverty, poor mental health, substance use or trauma, it can further limit a person’s ability to access health care.

The Downtown Eastside Chronic Pain Service is a first-of-its-kind program that provides non-pharmacological pain management support to people living with pain in Vancouver who experience marginalization.
