This week's Vacation Vault June episode is a GREAT hangout! We go back to May 5, 2020, when music producer Denny Somach came to the #Lounge! Denny had just published his book, "A Walk Down Abbey Road," and we talked about that, as well as SO MUCH MORE! It was a very entertaining show! Relax, and enjoy our hang out with music producer, Denny Somach!

Original Show Notes
The guys "go for a walk" this week! Music producer, author, and collector of great stories, Denny Somach (So-mack) finds the Lounge, and puts on an AWESOME show!

Denny tells about the many many years he spent interviewing musicians, and the influence the Beatles had on them! Peter Townshend, the Isley Brothers, Sting, Billy Joel, Elton John... the list goes ON!

A veteran of radio production, Denny decided to write a book called, "A Walk Down Abbey Road" (available on Amazon). It "...celebrates the impact and influence the Beatles have had on their generation and the one that followed on both sides of the Atlantic." The guys ask Denny about the connection Micky Dolenz, who wrote the foreword in "A Walk Down Abbey Road," has with Jimi Hendrix? What's the most stolen road sign in the world? YEP, Abbey Road! BUT, what's the second most stolen? ALSO, did you know there is a street-level camera ON ABBEY ROAD?! Check it out: Abbey Road Cam (https://www.earthcam.com/world/england/london/abbeyroad/?cam=abbeyroad_uk).

Denny tells a great story about Peter Townshend getting his times crossed with Paul McCartney and how it led to Peter not wearing a suit! Sam then asks a question that leads to Denny saying it didn't matter, the Beatles were going to be successful either way!

Denny then leaves the Lounge with 2 good ol' fashioned cliff hangers! 1) WAS Yoko responsible for the break-up of the Beatles? 2) How is it that Michael Jackson came to own the Beatles music? WE RAN OUT OF TIME BEFORE WE COULD GET THE ANSWERS! What a great show! OH, and Denny also talks about Arthur Lee and his band Love, and who replaced them as the house band at the Whisky-a-Go-Go! SEE WHAT WE'RE SAYING? Endless stories! IT WAS AWESOME!

So, sit back, relax & #grabalisten!
