Story Transcript:

Hr: Jednog sunčanog jutra, Ivan se probudio pun planova za svoj dan u Zagrebu.
En: One sunny morning, Ivan woke up full of plans for his day in Zagreb.

Hr: Odlučio je posjetiti slavnu Zagrebačku katedralu.
En: He decided to visit the famous Zagreb Cathedral.

Hr: Dok je kretao prema dizalu svog stambenog bloka, primijetio je da se skupina turista muva ispred, gledajući u zemljovid grada.
En: As he walked towards the elevator in his residential block, he noticed a group of tourists hovering in front, looking at the city map.

Hr: Bili su to Ana iz Španjolske, Marko iz Njemačke i još nekoliko ljudi iz različitih zemalja.
En: They were Ana from Spain, Marko from Germany, and a few others from different countries.

Hr: Svi su izgledali pomalo zbunjeni.
En: They all looked a little confused.

Hr: Ivan se usporio i promatrao grupu.
En: Ivan slowed down and observed the group.

Hr: U tom trenutku Ana je primijetila Ivana i upitala ga za smjer do katedrale.
En: At that moment, Ana noticed Ivan and asked him for directions to the cathedral.

Hr: Ivan je, naravno, htio pomoći pa im je objasnio kako da stignu tamo.
En: Ivan, of course, wanted to help, so he explained how to get there.

Hr: Kako su se uputili prema dizalu, Ana je predložila da svi idu zajedno s njim jer su imali slično odredište.
En: As they headed towards the elevator, Ana suggested that they all go together with him since they had a similar destination.

Hr: Kada su svi ušli u dizalo, vrata su se zatvorila i dizalo se krenulo.
En: When they all got into the elevator, the doors closed and the elevator started moving.

Hr: Iznenada, sredinom puta, dizalo se neplanirano zaustavilo.
En: Suddenly, halfway there, the elevator unexpectedly stopped.

Hr: Ivan je pokušao pritisnuti gumbe, ali ništa se nije događalo.
En: Ivan tried pressing the buttons, but nothing happened.

Hr: Ugasio se i svjetlo.
En: The lights went out.

Hr: Bili su zaglavljeni!
En: They were stuck!

Hr: U prvim trenucima zavladala je tišina, a zatim su svi počeli pričati na svojim jezicima, pokušavajući razumjeti što se događa.
En: At first, there was silence, and then everyone started speaking in their own languages, trying to understand what was happening.

Hr: Ivan je znao samo malo engleskog, a još manje njemačkog i španjolskog.
En: Ivan knew only a little English, and even less German and Spanish.

Hr: Shvatio je da je na njemu da zadrži mir i pronađe rješenje.
En: He realized it was up to him to keep calm and find a solution.

Hr: "Ne brinite, sve će biti dobro," rekao je Ivan što smirenije može.
En: "Don't worry, everything will be okay," said Ivan as calmly as he could.

Hr: "Pokušat ću nazvati za pomoć.
En: "I'll try to call for help."

Hr: "Vadi svoj mobilni telefon i otkriva da nema signala.
En: He took out his mobile phone and found that there was no signal.

Hr: Međutim, nije izgubio nadu.
En: However, he didn't lose hope.

Hr: Odlučio je koristiti sistem za komunikaciju u dizalu.
En: He decided to use the elevator's communication system.

Hr: Objašnjavao je svima korak po korak što radi kako bi ih umirio.
En: He explained step by step to everyone what he was doing to calm them down.

Hr: Nakon nekoliko pokušaja, uspio je.
En: After several attempts, he succeeded.

Hr: Glas s druge strane slušalice rekao je da su upoznati s problemom i da rade na njegovom rješavanju.
En: The voice on the other end of the line said they were aware of the problem and were working on solving it.

Hr: Ponudio je da će se popravak dogoditi vrlo brzo.
En: They offered that the repair would happen very quickly.

Hr: U međuvremenu, u mraku dizala, Ivan je započeo igru kako bi skrenuli misli s trenutne situacije.
En: In the meantime, in the darkness of the elevator, Ivan started a game to distract them from the current situation.

Hr: Počeli su se predstavljati jedni drugima i govoriti o svojim zanimanjima i zemljama.
En: They started introducing themselves and talking about their professions and countries.

Hr: Iako su svi govorili različitim jezicima, smijeh i dobre priče su ih povezale.
En: Although they all spoke different languages, laughter and good stories brought them together.

Hr: Nakon što je prošlo oko trideset minuta, dizalo se ponovno pokrenulo.
En: After about thirty minutes, the elevator started moving again.

Hr: Svjetla su se upalila i s osmijehom na licu, svi su izišli iz dizala kao prijatelji.
En: The lights came on, and with a smile on their faces, they all got out of the elevator as friends.

Hr: Ivan, Ana i Marko su nastavili svoj put prema katedrali, no ovaj put s pričom koju će pamtiti cijeli život.
En: Ivan, Ana, and Marko continued their journey to the cathedral, but this time with a story they would remember for the rest of their lives.

Hr: Ivan se osjećao ponosno.
En: Ivan felt proud.

Hr: Usprkos strahu i zbunjenosti, pokazao je hrabrost i vodstvo.
En: Despite the fear and confusion, he showed bravery and leadership.

Hr: Svaka je prepreka prilika za učenje, i Ivan je taj dan naučio da se problemi najbolje rješavaju smirenošću i zajedništvom.
En: Every obstacle is an opportunity for learning, and that day Ivan learned that problems are best solved with calmness and unity.

Hr: Na kraju dana, pogledom na svjetlucajuće tornjeve Zagrebačke katedrale, Ivan se nasmiješio znajući da su sve prepreke premostive kada ljudi rade zajedno.
En: At the end of the day, looking at the sparkling towers of the Zagreb Cathedral, Ivan smiled, knowing that all obstacles are surmountable when people work together.
