Who has never heard at a football match in the telly or any other sporting event saying, “This is a David against Goliath match!”.

Did the little shepherd had great luck in defeating the almighty giant? Some divine intervention caused David to win? Is the probability of this happening so small that they made this an entertaining story? Just like with Santa Claus story?
