On this week's episode, we sit down with Scott Woodcock. He is the Assistant Head Coach of Softball at the University of Maine. Scott has spent many years coaching and mentoring young athletes. From his military career in the Marine Corps to coaching high-level travel ball to coaching in Division I, Scott has always had an innate ability to mold young minds.
His dedication to his craft is clear when you see him take the field! The University of Maine is on the right track and destined to make a huge impact on the collegiate level of Fastpitch. With the new softball facility under construction, taking shape, Scott talks about playing ball up north, what it takes to play at a high level, and why potential student-athletes should look outside of their comfort zone and look to play ball in the NorthEast.
We put some popular myths to rest as I ask him some of the most unasked, always wondered questions surrounding college recruiting.
