"I can not sleep, restless mind - weak...sounds and dark shapes; something haunting me" This week I'm showcasing Black Shuck the latest offering from Hardcore/Punk band The Corporate Life! Simply put Black Shuck (based off HP lovecraft's story The Hound) is a masterful and unapologetic leap towards a new sound for TCL all while still staying true to what their fans have come to love about them! Heavy almost doomy sounding riffs, blistering bass lines, groove heavy drums, more complex structuring, some dare I say prog elements and a straight to the jugular vocal delivery TCL have expanded on their more traditional Hardcore Punk sound adding elements of straight up metal and very dark doom elements. The story of the Black Shuck is super interesting and one I never really knew about until hearing this record. I even dive into it a tiny bit during the showcase! You don't wanna miss this episode!!
