John was Chief Executive Officer of the Shetland Fishermen’s Association and the Shetland Fish Producers Organisation, and is the current chairman of Fishing Innovation and Sustainability, and a board member of the North Atlantic Fisheries College.

In this episode John tells the extraordinary story of how for more than two hundred years the salt fish industry has fueled the economy of Shetland.
