For over 30 years, the founder of the non-profit organization Called to Rescue (CTR), Dr. Cyndi Romine, has been rescuing children who are abused, missing or have been trafficked internationally. Over the last three decades, Dr. Romine has become a leading expert in training individuals and organizations on prevention and awareness, and helping victims in post-trafficking and abusive scenarios.
On 3/7/22, Dr. Romine received a phone call from a nonprofit requesting her to come to the Poland/Ukrainian border to educate local leaders on the topics of anti-trafficking, how to rescue trafficked victims and how to prevent trafficking scenarios. Without hesitation, despite the obvious danger and risks, both Cyndi and her daughter Mila Romine (CFO of CTR) left within the week. On 3/14/22, Dr. Romine and Mila were on the front lines helping refugees and training leaders.
Dr. Romine shares, “We have the power to create a safe environment for kids and this is possible only if we work together. CTR aims to help protect and save every child who is a victim of abuse, violence and human trafficking. Everyone can be a part of this cause by becoming volunteers, advocates, or sponsors in their own communities anywhere they reside in the world.”
Report trafficking, abuse, and cases of missing children to the Called to Rescue local hotline at 0917-541-0287 or visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Called2RescuePh/ or website at calledtorescue.com
