mostra másI am so proud to welcome singer-songwriter Dylan Dunlap to the podcast for this milestone episode. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter developed a love for music at a very young age. He taught himself piano at 6-years-old, and five years later, he picked up a copy of Pro Tools and crafted instrumental compositions “like time capsules.”
While he was a teenager, Dylan dropped out of the prestigious Berklee College of Music to get a head start regarding a career in the music industry by busking in his hometown of Burbank, California. Over the past two years, he supported OneRepublic at the sold-out Stadium of Fire event in Provo, Utah, while releasing his first-ever original track: “Microphone & Lights.”
Dylan Dunlap also toured across the United States and the United Kingdom while he dropped his debut EP: Things I Can’t Explain. He is also a Spotify verified artist, and he has over 1 million monthly listeners on the streaming platform. Dylan also put in countless hours of work to raise awareness around mental health. With this mission, he received the National Alliance on Mental Illness’s “Fighting Stigma Rising Star” award and partnered with Autism Rocks, Global Citizen, LA’s Children Hospital, and other organizations.
In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Dylan Dunlap shared the story behind some of his hit songs such as “It’s That’s Alright,” “What We Had,” and “Follow My Echo.” He also spoke about his collaboration with BANNERS – “Someone To You” and why he credits Coldplay for getting his start in the recording industry.
