October isn't just about Halloween, pumpkin spice & fall leaves; it's also #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth💜, a time to acknowledge and address a serious issue that often remains hidden behind closed doors. It's a chance for us to shine a light on the shadows of domestic violence to raise our voices & offer support to survivors.
In sharing our stories, we can create a safe space where no one has to suffer in silence, and where empathy & awareness triumph over fear and abuse.
To kick off my month long series on highlighting other surviviors of this silent epidemic, I'm re-releasing my episode that shares my personal journey of surviving domestic violence. This episode originally aired on March 8, 2022, which was the week of my 1 year anniversary of surviving the most traumatic experience I've ever had.
To anyone who is experiencing what I went through, please know that you deserve a healthy and loving relationship. Find the strength to leave. I promise you, life does get better💜
