A man born to religious parents in the 1870's, Brother XII firmly believed he was destined for spiritual greatness and eventually settled on Theosophy to explain his ideas and his theories that he was one of the Brothers of the Great White Lodge, a brotherhood shared by Jesus and Buddha among others. We talk about his colony on Nanaimo and his ideals about how the social order would collapse. He threatened his enemies with his 'black magic' powers and even appeared to unleash some of these when he was on trial.
