The woman we discuss this week was completely awe inspiring. Susan La Flesche Picotte went completely against the current her entire life and she always fought against oppression. She was an incredible person who helped everyone around her in as many was as she was capable which was a lot of ways considering she was the first Native American doctor ever with an American Medical degree. This woman was absolutely a living legend.
