Welcome to part 4.2 of episode 4 of Ohio 88 where I will continue to discuss one of the most notorious individuals from Hamilton County, Ohio. The one and only Charles Manson.
This is the FINAL part of the Manson Episode.
As a quick recap; In part 1; we learned all about Charles Manson’s early life and early crimes. In part 2; we learned about Manson’s adult life and the formation of the Manson Family Cult, as well as the members of the cult. In part 3.1, I discussed the life and death of Abigail Folger, Donald “Shorty” Shea, Gary Hinman, and Jay Sebring. In part 3.2, I discussed the life and death of Steven Parent, Voytek Frykowski, Leno & Rosemary LaBianca, and Sharon Tate. These individuals are the most recognized and considered the main victims of the 1969 Manson Murders that were dubbed as the Tate/LaBianca killings. In part 4.1 we learned a lot about the opening statement from the prosecution and the kind of journey that Prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi wanted to take the jury, the investigation of the case, the evidence in the case, and discussed most of the events of the trial.

This is the part of the story where I share with you; why the trial has always been a focal point in the Manson Saga. I know we have all seen the interviews and read the headlines regarding Charles Manson’s behavior in the courtroom...but I want to tell you a bit more about that in this part of the episode. I want to describe to you, the shenanigans that occurred within the courtroom. I also want to go through a recapped timeline of events and the closing arguments in the trial. Lastly, I want to end the episode with the aftermath of Charles Manson’s life of crimes. When and where did he die? Where did his co-defendants end up? What are they up to? All of that, and more...coming up in this final part of Episode 4: Hamilton County (Charles Manson).
