Hosted by Robert Kuney and Paul C. Cuthbert.
Tonight was the 43rd episode of the Honchos, and in honor of the new episode and Richard Petty (who drove the 43 car), the Honchos made more left turns than usual. After a spirited tribute to King Richard and racing and racing movies, the Honchos tackled two of the biggest non-sports issues out there: #DeviousLicks on Tik Tok and the coregasm sweeping (literally) the nation.
The sports portion of the Honchos started with a recap of college football from last weekend, which included the new look Top 25 after Iowa's loss to unranked Purdue, Ohio State lurking just outside the College Football Playoff as we await the first ESPN CFP poll, Nick Rolovich out at Washington State and Ed Orgeron out at LSU, the best games of the upcoming weekend, and the always fabulous Blue Hose update.
In the NHL/NBA/MLB segment the Honchos wished former Islander great Mike Bossy well as he battles cancer, discussed the latest self-destruction from Evander Kane, welcomed the 2021-2022 NBA season and the Ingleside Lakers, reviewed the MLB playoffs, and tossed around the extension for Tony LaRussa and the firing of Mike Shildt.
The showgram ended with the breathless NFL whiparound review of the games from week 6 and the games of note upcoming in week 7. Then the show ended as it always does with the Dope of the Week. This week's winner was Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards.
