Well this is my opinion from hearing the story! Yes he's guilty of the crime but hello he as well as others told people ahead of time that the Zoloft was doin him some type of way that apparently he wasn't comfortable with or feel was normal or he wouldn't have said anything! He never said anything about the Paxil he was taking along with no1 else saying anything extremely different or concerning about his behavior after starting the Paxil! But he and others notice and speak on the changes after starting Zoloft so he was taking to the doctor and his dosage was increased. What doctor in their right mind increases a medication that clearly has major negative side effects as well as making your skin feel it's on fire! Sounds to me he cried out for help with this medicine and the doctor screwed up and failed Chris by upping his dosage! That makes no sense at all to me and if anyone can help me make sense of that please by all means enlighten me I'm all ears! So yes he did a terrible horrific crime but woukd that crime have been committed if the Doctor would have listen to him and others about the effects the Zoloft was having on him and change his script to something else if the Paxil was still not available which is odd because I've been on Paxil for 20 plus years and have never had a problem getting it! So my opinion and 2cents is this... maybe if the Zoloft was changed and not increased with already negative side effects- maybe Chris wouldn't have gotten to that point of murdering his grandparents! But no1 will ever know because of a dumb ass doctors mistake and poor doctoring and choice he made! I think the doctor should be held responsible or just as responsible for the murder of the Pittman's! Again if his medication would Hve been changed instead of increased in his dosage- they would probably still be here today and him not spend the rest of his childhood and some of his adulthood in a prison! He's really set up for failure now after everything he's been through he's now instutionalized which damn sure is no good!!!
