Over the weekend, Red Sox Nation lost a big part of their community. Jerry Remy passed away on 10/30/2021. He fought for so many years with cancer. At one point, he was cancer free. In August of 2021, Jerry stepped away from the broadcast booth due to lung cancer returning.
On October 5th, the day the Red Sox were taking on their rivals, the New York Yankees, Jerry made his last appearance at Fenway by throwing out the first pitch.
