Debra suffered a stroke over 8 years ago and her life as she knew it came to an abrupt halt. As a Stanford University professor and an author, communication was her life but after the stroke she was unable to speak. Steve and Debra share the painstaking journey of adjusting and discovering life after a stroke as individuals and as a family. Their powerful story of hope comes from a unique perspective about what recovery really means and how to really focus on what it is that is most important.
