Génesis 9: Compasión con el que ha fallado.

Después del diluvio, ahora veremos cómo fue que Noé y su familia reconstruyeron sus vidas en la nueva tierra. Leamos los últimos versos de este capítulo pero no olvides leer todo el capítulo completo.

Genesis 9:12-28 RVA2015:
12 Y dijo Dios: “Esta será la señal del pacto que establezco entre yo y ustedes, y todo ser viviente que está con ustedes, por generaciones, para siempre: 13 Yo pongo mi arco en las nubes como señal del pacto que hago entre yo y la tierra. 14 Y sucederá que cuando yo haga aparecer nubes sobre la tierra, entonces el arco se dejará ver en las nubes. 15 Me acordaré de mi pacto que existe entre yo y ustedes, y todo ser viviente de toda clase, y las aguas no serán más un diluvio para destruir toda carne. 16 Cuando el arco aparezca en las nubes, yo lo veré para acordarme del pacto perpetuo entre Dios y todo ser viviente de toda clase que está sobre la tierra”.
17 Entonces Dios dijo a Noé: “Esta será la señal del pacto que establezco entre yo y toda carne que está sobre la tierra”.
18 Los hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron: Sem, Cam y Jafet. Cam fue el padre de Canaán. 19 Estos tres fueron los hijos de Noé, y a partir de ellos fue poblada toda la tierra.
20 Entonces Noé comenzó a cultivar la tierra y plantó una viña. 21 Y bebiendo el vino, se embriagó y quedó desnudo en medio de su tienda. 22 Cam, el padre de Canaán, vio la desnudez de su padre y lo contó a sus dos hermanos que estaban fuera. 23 Entonces Sem y Jafet tomaron un manto, lo pusieron sobre sus propios hombros y, yendo hacia atrás, cubrieron la desnudez de su padre. Como tenían vuelta la cara, ellos no vieron la desnudez de su padre.
24 Cuando Noé se despertó de su embriaguez y se enteró de lo que le había hecho su hijo menor, 25 dijo: “Maldito sea Canaán. Sea el siervo de los siervos de sus hermanos”.
26 Dijo además: “Bendito sea el SEÑOR, el Dios de Sem, y sea Canaán su siervo. 27 Engrandezca Dios a Jafet y habite en las tiendas de Sem, y sea Canaán su siervo”.
28 Noé vivió después del diluvio trescientos cincuenta años.


Ya vimos cómo Dios salvó a la creación por medio de Noé. El Señor también hizo un pacto con Noé, con la humanidad y todos los seres vivientes. El pacto con Noé fue el arcoíris como señal de no volver a destruir la tierra.
Después vemos que ellos comenzaron a reconstruir sus vidas cotidianas. En ese proceso, Noé se descuidó y cometió un error: él fermentó la uva y se embriagó. Su segundo hijo, en vez de tener compasión de su padre, no lo respetó, lo menospreció burlándose de él, divulgándolo a sus hermanos.
Aquí podemos aprender dos cosas: primero, cuidar nuestras acciones cuando nos encontremos con algún cambio de estado emocional. Tal vez Noé quería divertirse un poco y salir de la rutina y se le fue la mano. O tal vez estaba pasando un tiempo de confusión al tratar de adaptarse a un mundo diferente, sin población, solos, con cambios drásticos de sus vidas cotidianas y quiso "ahogar" sus penas con el alcohol. Cualquiera que sea lo que lo impulsó a ese descuido, fue un error que al final trajo maldición a uno de sus hijos. Cuidemos nuestras acciones como padres.
Segundo, seamos más compasivos y misericordiosos cuando uno de nuestros seres queridos cometa alguna falta. No lo avergoncemos en público, no lo expongamos de forma cruel. Más bien, hagamos lo que Sem y Jafet hicieron, ellos trajeron una cubierta para que su ser querido no pase más humillaciones por ese momento en el que cayó.

El Señor Jesucristo nos enseñó que cuando alguien cometa una falta, lo llames en privado para mostrarle su falta. Si no cambia, llama a alguien que te acompañe y hablen en privado los tres. La última opción es exponer su mal comportamiento ante la congregación y la comunidad.
En nuestros hogares manejemos las cosas con prudencia, ayudando personalmente y en privado a los que están haciendo algún mal hábito o cometiendo una falta. Si necesitas ayuda, llama a alguien que sea maduro, prudente y sabio para que juntos puedan ayudar al que está en problemas. Usualmente, la persona se levantará y cambiará.
Si ese comportamiento es nocivo y está trayendo destrucción, entonces se toman otras clases de decisiones drásticas para proteger al resto de la familia.
Si tomamos una posición de redargüir a alguien pero lo hacemos con misericordia, entonces lo mismo vamos a recibir si algún día nos descuidamos como Noé. Formemos un vínculo de apoyo incondicional basado en la verdad, la justicia pero con mucha misericordia y compasión.

Escudriñemos:
Lee Gálatas 6:1 (Reina Valera Contemporánea): “Hermanos, si alguno es sorprendido en alguna falta, ustedes, que son espirituales, restáurenlo con espíritu de mansedumbre. Piensa en ti mismo, no sea que también tú seas tentado.”

Genesis 9: Compassion with the one who has failed.

After the flood, we will now see how Noah and his family rebuilt their lives on the new Earth. Let's read the last verses of this chapter but don't forget to read the entire chapter.

Genesis 9:12-28 NLT:
Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.”
The sons of Noah who came out of the boat with their father were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Ham is the father of Canaan.) From these three sons of Noah came all the people who now populate the earth.
After the flood, Noah began to cultivate the ground, and he planted a vineyard. One day he drank some wine he had made, and he became drunk and lay naked inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw that his father was naked and went outside and told his brothers. Then Shem and Japheth took a robe, held it over their shoulders, and backed into the tent to cover their father. As they did this, they looked the other way so they would not see him naked.
When Noah woke up from his stupor, he learned what Ham, his youngest son, had done. Then he cursed Canaan, the son of Ham: “May Canaan be cursed! May he be the lowest of servants to his relatives.”
Then Noah said, “May the Lord, the God of Shem, be blessed, and may Canaan be his servant! May God expand the territory of Japheth! May Japheth share the prosperity of Shem, and may Canaan be his servant.”
Noah lived another 350 years after the great flood.


We have already seen how God saved the creation through Noah. The Lord also made a covenant with Noah, with humanity and all living things. The pact with Noah was the rainbow as a sign not to destroy the Earth again.
Later we see that they began to reconstruct their daily lives. In this process, Noah was careless and made a mistake: he fermented the grape and got drunk. His second son, instead of having compassion for his father, did not respect him, despised him, making fun of him, divulging to his brothers.
Here we can learn two things: First, take care of our actions when we find ourselves in a change of emotional state. Maybe Noah wanted to have a little fun and get out of the routine and he got too far. Or maybe he was having a time of confusion trying to adapt to a different world, without population, alone, with drastic changes in his daily lives and wanted to "drown" his sorrows with alcohol. Whatever prompted his carelessness, it was a mistake that ultimately brought a curse on one of his sons. Let's take care of our actions as parents.
Second, let us be more compassionate and merciful when one of our loved ones does something wrong. Let's not embarrass them in public, let's not expose them cruelly. Rather, let's do what Shem and Japheth did, they brought a cover so that their loved one doesn't go through more humiliation for that moment in which he fell.

The Lord Jesus Christ taught us that when someone commits a fault, you call him in private to show him his fault. If it doesn't change, call someone to come with you and the three of you talk privately. The last option is to expose their bad behavior before the congregation and the community.
In our home let's handle things wisely, personally and privately helping those who are doing a bad habit or committing a fault. If you need help, call someone who is mature, prudent and wise so that together can help the one in trouble. Usually, the person will get up and change.
If that behavior is harmful and brings destruction, then other kinds of drastic decisions are made to protect the rest of the family.
If we take a position of rebuking someone but we do it with mercy, then we will receive the same if one day we are careless like Noah. Let's form a bond of unconditional support based on truth, justice but with a lot of mercy and compassion.

Let's scrutinize:
Read Galatians 6:1 NLT: “Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.”
