Lying to yourself about whats going on in your life (self deception) as a believer; follower of Christ, Christian, person of the Way or what ever we call ourself ought not to be. David lied to himself during and after doing one of the most unthinkable things in his life. During his repentence he realized he needed truth deep inside his self. We all can have Gods word but that word is not hidden deeply inside us where we will not sin again God. When that word is hidden we will not justify things that are wrong by lying to ourselves and thereby lying to others and even lying to God.
