Rev. Dr. Anita Green, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, is a graduate of The University of Baltimore with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. She is a May 2009 graduate of the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), Atlanta, Ga. with a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in The Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care. She is also a member of Theta Phi Honor Society.
In May, 2015, Rev. Green received her Doctor of Ministry degree from the ITC. Her Dissertation is titled – “The Mourning After: How a Model of Aftercare Support Assists in the Healing Process of African American Women Experiencing Grief.”
Dr. Green is the CEO of The Grief Circle, a grief consulting firm, which partners with local funeral homes to provide grief support services and training to individuals, families, churches, organizations and funeral home staff.
She is a Certified Grief Coach and Grief Support Specialist.
She was inducted in the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. Collegium of Scholars of Morehouse College, in March, 2017. She also serves as the National Alumni President of ITC, Chaplain of The Women of Distinction, Incorporated, Secretary of the Cobb County Chapter of The SCLC, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and a member of The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Decatur/Dekalb Chapter.
Along with serving as the Chairperson of the Professional Advisory Group for Chaplaincy at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, she is also an Adjunct Professor at Beulah Heights University.
