HACU, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, advocates nationally and statewide for policies to support Latino students earning higher education degrees. Erica Romero, AVP for State Advocacy at the Western Regional Office in Sacramento, shares the work HACU does to collaborate with Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) to benefit Latino college students. As the “Champion of Hispanic success in higher education” HACU also establishes scholarships and internships for Latinos.
